Loved my scooter....for 4 months, when my charger went out. Paid for a new one in July 2010.

On back order STILL til July... but they expect another back order. So do I!!! They say it was never paid for either & tried to collect the money AGAIN!!

Shoot yourself in the head before you go Baja...it will give you the same headache! Husband paid 200 more for another brand & I await riding while he cruises :cry

No parts for baja motorsport products

My grandson has a baja motorsport doodlebug 30 and the gas cable broke within 4 weeks of riding this brand new bike. I have been trying for 2 months to get a cable from them. this bike has been in the shop at thier reps for all this time. summer is over and this child has not been able to ride i've spoken to 3 company reps and gotten 3 different stories. next big complaint goes to sears who sold the bike.it seems to me that any company acting in good faith would take care of these complaints. i,m really pissed. we had considered buying a bike for my grandaughter but that ain't happening.we've had great success with razor brand products. we have 2 electric scooters we bought 3 years ago, no problems and they have been ridden constantly. and razor stand behind their products. we also have a little razor dune buggy (go cart) electric that is great.

They were kind enough to give me a number were to call and they seem to have all parts in stock for all Baja models.

The name of the company is Scooter Outlet at (915) 820-****, They had all my parts available and had them shipped in 3 days. Give them a call, I'm sure they'll help you out.

Ripped off

We bought a Baja ATV in 2008 new. It has been in the shop since we have owned it. Last time in the shop we brought it home and drove it half hour around the house and it has something else wrong with it again. Having it almost 2 years and getting to use it a total of maybe one hour. My advise never buy a Baja anything. Why do companies like this get to rip off people at the price of the buyer? This is the worst atv I have ever seen on the the market. Don't buy.

Ya my friend has one of those pieces of junk, though He got a good deal. it has around 308 km in all for a 2007 model 400.

Always busted. Anyway why don't you people get a class action law suit against CTC and BMS?

Baja will rip you off and your kids.

I am done with Baja and pep boys. The dirt bike and go cart we bought are junk . I have attempted to call Baja and pep boys many times and now i know i am getting the runaround. Our go cart has been in the shop twice and still is slipping gears. Our dirt bike is falling apart in every way possible. The 90 day warranty is all lies. I hope to see a class action lawsuit. Please do not buy Baja or pep boys products. Where is my refund Baja? I wander what the Attorney generals office will think of this company. If you are going through this right now please take the time to file a complaint with BBB and the attorney generals office. Small claims court is also painless. P.S please post more complaints Thanks -

My wife and I purchased a BAJA 90cc Wildnerness ATV from Pep-Boys on 11/25/06 for $949.00. Our son has rode the ATV approximately 10 hours.

The spark plug will not recieve any fire. I have contacted BAJA to no avail, the nearest service center that they recommnended only work on ***-Eaters and lawn mower engines. I went through the troubleshooting guide have followed the steps outlined & result states to take to a service center. I have contacted every service center within my county and surrounding counties and to no avail, no assistance.

Going to Pep-Boys is useless, the did not even carry a spark plug for the ATV. Amazing that we paid this much money and no where to turn.

I would love to get the bike running but this is not the case so far. Please, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Guest

Bought my son a Baja 90cc 4 wheeler a couple of years ago and we just got it back out of the shop where it sat for about 6 months waiting on parts and the mechanic found out that the frame work on the atv was very dangerous, he had to reinforce in several places. The air filter won't stay attached to the engine, not to mention the engine almost falling out of the atv.

This atv has been a big headache and have spent way too much money on repairing it.

Please don't ever buy a Baja, they are very dangerous for you children. They are put together poorly and can break while riding...

Guest

I found a great place to buy Baja Parts. Try the people at Master Tech Sports.

Guest

the bikes are bad,and yes we bought 2,they break every time they rode them, the one grandson went over the handle bars after a pin broke and the safelink on the chain broke, even after we fixed it, it still broke.and the company diddent even give it a thought. allso some thing else broke, not on one bike, the 2 bikes are junk. petboys are bad to deal with and the company they get them from.im going to get on the news talkback 16 as soon as i can,go to the state generals office and state cops, and hopfully a class action suit can some how get started, and allso the bikes are only a little over 3months old.the two kids my grandsons are7and eight and caim they abused the bikes which they diddent, the people lied about the bikes being abused, and ther very rude to.but thats luzerne contry for you, every one lies, maybe a few dont there's the good guys, but its a shame we cant get them on our side, but if we all can explain about all these bikes and lots of people do some thing about it im sure things will be looked into.there are some honest people in luzern country.

Guest

in 2004 mr Hal Smith brought Baja to pepboys, in 2008 pepboys fired him. No one at pep likes the stuff or wants to deal with it.

it is no longer a supported program, they just happen to have a ton of it in their warehouses and have to sell it, but everyone knows its a headache to deal with. Save yourself some dollars and buy it, just know that with those savings will come plenty of headaches and dissapointments.

Dont take your safety for granted, always double check brakes, tires, and handle bars. I dont use the product myself.

Guest

Baja quality is great when you consider the price! I buy my parts from Mastertechsports.com Ask them for a discount! I did and get 15% off.

Guest

You get what you pay for. The starter burned up on my son's 49cc atv about 3 months after we bought it. (He may have unknowingly held the button while riding though.) Anyway the part was reasonalbly priced and ez to find on their web site and shipped within a week.As long as you are handy and have pacience it's better than paying $2800.00 for a name brand that he will grow out of in 2 years.

New bike in shop for 5 months

Bought a brand new 150cc bike for my son. Second time he is on it the gear shift breaks OFF! We get it sent in and they are willing to repair it under warranty. Well, goody-goody. The shop has had it for going on 6 months now because they can't get the parts from CHINA!!!The stinkin bike was 12 days old when it broke! They won't do anything. I can't even get to a manager. The shop is stuck also. I wish I had never made this purchase. I will NEVER buy from Baja ever again. This bike sucks!

Baja motor sports suck!!!!

My parents got both me and my brother mini bikes from baja motor sports they both had lose bolts(axle bolts and brake bolts were really loose) on my brothers bike the fuel line wasn't even hooked up and the throttle cable was really lose on my bike the carburetor was loose and the float bowl wasn't even on all the way and once we finally got everything tightened and everything we went to go ride them and we only rode them for like 20 minutes and the oil drain plug came out on my bike because they cross threaded the bolt when they put it in and a few hours later i went 2 go ride my brothers bike and the chain came loose because they didn't put the clip thing on that holds the chain link together so yea baja motorsports suck im not going 2 buy another thing from them again

problems and more problems.. baja sc150's i own are junk.

2008 models with problem when i bought as is from pep boys with 0 miles on them. I got a what I thought was good deal. They had been brought back and sold as newto me as is. They lied to me.

One was missing the carb and the other one all the kick starter stuff had been robbed from it. I was pissed off.. I purchased both for 1200.00 total. They lied to me and told me that a gas line had come loose and a throttle cable.

Never trust a good dal. they now run like *** even with new parts. the *** steering is too tight. you have to leen and and you can not steer them.

Very dangerously made. Steering is too tight. Death traps. Should have bought a 49 cc bike .

wish i had only known..

every bad thing you read is probably true on this bike. cheap made than most tiawan bikes!

Baja go carts suck-need much repair.

Bought black Friday 2009, gears where slipping, we called pep-boys for a refund 1 week later and it was denied. This 150cc go-cart has been in the shop twice already for this same problem, and the problem still exists. This is not good business; I own a business and I would never leave one of my customers in this situation. Other problems include the oil leaks, all of the suspension components are broken and drying up, bolts fall off constantly, and one time the whole exhaust system fell off. This go-cart was supposed to be an early Christmas present for my 3 kids, so thanks Baja.

I bought one of these for my son and he's gotten to ride it once. Pep Boys suckered me into a deal on a previous years demo that had not been sold, neither did I know they were it to me without all the proper hardware such as the remote and what not, they lied to me and said it didnt come with it.

Long story short my son has ridden it once and it has not run for the past two years. Cant find anyone to work on it nor can you even find several of the parts period. Not to mention, upon working on it I discovered pep boys had been working on it previously and put back courser threded bolts in some places and ripped plastic brackets off that held shrouds in place due to laziness of turning a wrench.

Pep Boys sucks and I dont think anybody else should contribute another dollar to these foreign frauds sending this *** over here screwing us and our country not to mention my boy who I believe got the worst end of the deal. Do Not Buy Period....

Guest

Thank you, you just save me money and time. You save me great sadness for my son.

Wish you luck with your case. :roll

Guest

I would advise everyone to stay away from Baja if they aren't mechanically inclined. I probably fixed something every trip.

Also on the subject of Pep boys. When they "serviced" my Baja Reaction 250, the oil was low, a lot of the buggy wasn't tightened properly and cheap grade bolts were used on two of the shock mounts. More than likely they were missing when they assembled the buggy for *** sakes. You have access to a whole nut bin, use the right size and grade of hardware.

I and my brother purchased a buggy about three months apart, they mixed up the titles(the only two they sold that year). I had to track down my brothers buyer and make the title situation right for my buyers, we both sold ours to families with children. Not only that but the title issues states Joe's motorsports and the state(Utah) wont licence the thing because its an out of state title and Pep boys still doesn't know how to fix the problem. Not only that fact, my brother had the same issue and figured the problem out on his own and told Pep boys how to remedy the issue and they didn't make note.

So in short... They can't construct the buggy properly, charge for a service that I had to correct, mixed up the titles on te only two they sold all year and don't know ho to fix a title they provide at purchase.

Guest

Pep boys are no help with this even though they sell them. I am having same problem.

Do you think Toyota engineered this ? :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Baja Motorsports "bad business"

Hello, Although I will not state my name, I am an ex customer service representative for Baja Motorsports in which I was employed for 2 years before leaving the company due to "bad business". I can only begin to explain how cheap the parts are on the units, and that its just a matter of hours, if not days until they break or become inopperable. Atleast 85% of the parts we order are either on back order or are discontinued and we are literally told to lie and say they are in stock waiting to be shipped or will be arriving within that week, when none of that is true at all. I cant explain or stress to you enough of how horrible it was to go to work everyday having to lie to these customers just because Baja Motorsports is running a bad business. The concern for safety from baja motorsports is virtually Invincible simply because they just dont care. The warranty on these units are a "limited" 90 day warranty in which almost nothing is covered. Working for Baja motorsports was really the worst company I have ever worked for and i was amazed as to how many parts were poorly constructed that baja knew about and did nothing to fix it. My management litterally laughed at the people calling to get valid warranty coverage simply because they didbnt care about their consumers. Baja Motorsports is the biggest mistake anyone could possibly make, and is the worst investment at that as well, and I fell sorry for anyone thinking about purchasing anything from this company. My e-mail address is sprite0411@***.com if you have any questions at all regarding a purchase or about this company, please feel free to contact me. I am only giving out my info because I was the one taking the calls for this company and know the frusterations a lot of you have. I also have direct lines to customer service that will cut the wait times for people ordering parts down to seconds. I feel as if I was the only representative who actaully cared about our customers and went the extra mile to get their orders shipped out immediatley. well this is all I have to say. Please e-mail me with your response. thank you!

I have brand new old stock Baja doodle bug...ridden one time for 3 minutes. Been in storage for years. Anyone interested...email me vincenowakcontracting@***.com

Guest

We have a doodlebug by Baja and it's a pos literally it needs anew part everyday we've gone through at least 9 clutches the bike is poorly made it's Chinese trash prime example on why to not purchase Chinese motor vehicles

Guest

My name is Slavy and i am in Phx Az and i work on bikes for living. I ABSOLUTELY AGREE with the statement.

What a POS!!! There is nothing good to say about it/except for the looks/ from a distance/.

The calculations in the design are wrong /they could not even steal it right/.

The Materials are cheap and the craftsmanship is like it is built by 7th graders.

Dangerous rear brake, the worst tires, I've ever ridden, braking-off muffler, uncomfortable seat, cheap electrical components. You name it.

One advise - don't even think about buying one !

Guest

I have a baja phoenix 250 cruiser 2008-it has3000 miles -it doesnt fire over - it has an electrical problem- if anyone that has the same bike wants to buy it for spare parts -rherman1967@***.com- I live allentown pa- the cycle is parked in ally behind the rescue mission ,- leave number- I will get back- I also have an extra- hand brake and cylender unopend- you can look at it anytime - just recover it please and leave msg- rob

Guest

I run a small engine repair shop. I can fix ANYTHING.

Lately I had two different people bring me two different items. One was a mini motorcycle and the other was a 149CC Go-Cart. This was my first time entering the realm of "Chinese made ***". Wow, this stuff is so poorly made it's incredible it runs long enough to sell it.

Every little part is made from the absolute cheapest materials. the engines, carbs, hand controls, brakes, switches, EVERYTHING. Vital control parts are made from plastic. lol.

Parts are hard to find, customer service is hilarious. Just basic info is hard to find on the net. AND YOU CAN FIND ANYTHING ON THE NET! Right?

lol. One thing you'll notice is, there is no brand name on the product. Number of people wanting me to work on this Chinese made *** is growing fast. I don't tell them what a piece of *** it is.

I don't want to make them angry. I just tell them I don't have accounts to buy the parts so I don't work on them. I feel so sorry for these people. They have no idea they flushed their money down the toilet and now they're going to spend months trying to fix this ***.

GOOD LUCK! lol

Do you know of any mechanics in Texas who work on Baja motorcycles?

Spirit Yvd

:grin I say to all the people b*i*t*c*h*ing about Baja keep on drooling on Ur Dirt Bike magazines Unless you have $7,899 for a Honda you will never own one unless you are some pro motorcross guy trust me you will get all your moneys worth out of a Baja for what you would use it for h-e-l-l if you have to buy a part for the Bike you may learn a thing or two about mechanics instead of being a b*i*t*c*h*ing Tool :zzz

Guest

Better buy 1985 Honda Rebel for 800$ , fix it for another 100-200$ , and you will have a bike that you will ride until you just get bored and you sell it for the same money , that you have into it.

The same applies to the dirt bike world. Check the local ads and you will find great jap.

bikes well under 2000$/ sometime below 1000/.

This is if you are a rider. If you are a poser- you can stick with the chunk, It looks OK when it is under cover.

Baja Motorsports-Pep Boys Sold 2 defective ATV's

Pep Boys sold me 2 defective WD90 ATV's. They had to assemble 4 ATV's and put the best 2 out of 4 in the back of my truck. They knew something was wrong from the very beginning and they still sold them to me. The prep-tech said it's just that they are new but they'll stop sounding like this after a little bit of use. Both bikes have not been used by us at all and they are both leaking gas and oil. One won't start without cables and the other one just keeps backfiring and making a popping sound. They wont take them back. Baja wants me to take them to the shop. This is so unfair. Noone wants to buy an item and then take it to a shop for repairs before they even get to use it. They should take it back and give me my money back. If it needs repairs before I get to use it that means they are selling me a broken item.

We took both ATV's to a local shop, it took more than two months for them to get parts and when we finally picked them up, the boys only used them for a few hours and they were not working again. Long story short they were only able to ride them for a few hours on two seperate days in 1 year. No one cared, we got severely ripped off by Baja and PEP BOYS

Baja Motorsports Dune 150 is Dangerous and poorly built

I bought a Baja Motorsports Dune 150 go kart. Within a few months of riding in in the lawn reverse stopped working. A few months later my kids were riding it and both rear shocks broke. This caused A frame suspension to collapse and sever the gas valve. It was a miracle it did not catch fire as gas spewed all over the engine. Two new shocks were bought and put on the rear. A few months later the front left shock broke. When I went to get VIN number to order these shocks I found the frame and swingarm cracked in 3 places!!! keep in mind this gokart is rode in the YARD! Almost $300 in shocks, no reverse, broken and cracked frame and now need a $75 battery for a gokart that has approximately 10 miles on it!!!!! I called Baja Motorsports before posting this and let them know everything that has happened and that I'm about to post this. There response: "It's out of warranty and you shouldn't let anyone under 16 ride it". WARNING- NEVER PURCHASE A BAJA MOTORSPORTS PRODUCT. YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Yeah the suspension is gonna fall apart from running it on grass cause even a lawn that looks flat has so many dips, lawns are far from flat and lots off dips is hard on the suspension especially the cheap shocks they put on bajas AND GUYS...... You Guys are buying a Baja......cheap Chinese garbage lol *** gonna break you pay for quality and Baja is not quality and that’s why they brake.

Guest

Bought a Baja 250 , fast Lil {{Redacted}}. Prob I have didn't come w a title, or manufactured of origin, went down to local dol, not been registered in wa nor nv, anybody have problems like such, with getting a title to get ohv tags

Guest

I bought mine 7 years ago and It still flys up and down the dirt road it is safe I haven't flipped it and the only thing that broke was the ignition so I went to a junk yard and pulled the ignition from a 1969 Chevrolet and wired it and it runs like new it is reliable and it will run in hot and cold and it's an amazing cart for under $1000.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1236934

You are such a liar, that go cart is junkkkkk!

Guest

Thats horrible....

Guest

I've had mine for many years. We run it hard.

Only things that broke were the tie rod end ball joints. They bent and finally broke but likely from hitting trees. These are not $10K vehicles. I bought mine for $900 and got my moneys worth.

This cart will not break from just driving it across the field!

If something broke then it wasn't bolted together right. Maybe someone else went through and fixed everything but if the design was all that bad then it would not take the abuse I've given it with two 14 yr old boys running continuously!

Guest

They are made in china what do you expect? It all cheap *** my suggestion is build your own and use the least amount of Chinese parts as possible.

Guest

I own a baja 150 by far my worst purchase ever , swing arm cracked twice ,reverse went out , shocks broke , ball joints broke , air cleaner has been replaced twice because of cracks was told we were to rough on it ,all of this with less than 10 hours use in my lawn . If you like fixing and spending lots of money after your purchase this is the cart for you.

Guest

I own the same go kart and have at least 1000 miles off road in the California desert on it, I just hit 6 years and broke the drive belt, I bought two new shocks two new ball joints the belt and uni filter with tax it was just over $200 and I didn't need most of the parts, just being safe and doing some needed PM. Maybe the kids don't know how to drive it, I,m not being an *** but mine has taken a beating and still runs like a champ.
